I'm Back! With a Few Layouts to Share!

Hi everyone. I took a little break from blogging (not from scrapbooking or crafting, I've actually been learning to sew) to get used to my new job and spend time with family. My design team term ended at AWDML since they are now closed and that's when I started my break. Now I'm back with a couple layouts and I started a new DT with Turtle Soup.

Here's the first layout I want to share:

Someone threw a puppy in my yard on May 17 and after checking him for a chip we found out his owner was surrendering him/abandoning him. We decided to keep the little guy! We named him Nibbler Douglas and he's just an amazing little puppy! The Doodlebug Puppy Love collection was perfect for scrapbooking all the new pictures I'm going to take of this little guy!

The second layout I want to share is for Turtle Soup using the same Doodlebug collection:

This layout is of Leela and Nibbler both drinking out of the bird bath together.

The third layout I'm going to share is of my aunt and uncle with my mom in front of my dads memorial tree when they came to visit earlier this summer.

I used the Simple Stories Life in Color collection for this layout.

That's all I'm going to share for now. I'll be back to share the other couple of layouts that I've made recently. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

A New Layout Share

My New Years resolution this year was to craft more... and I have been. I just keep forgetting to blog about them lately! I don't know why either.
Well today I'm sharing a layout I made probably three weeks ago, maybe more. I used the Finders Keepers collection from Amy Tangerine.

This orange striped paper was perfect to use for a background. Once I picked the background I decided to cut some papers for layering. Then outlined them and glued them down.

Next I placed the title, which I usually don't do until the end of the layout. I used three different alphas. "Nap Time" is Thickers Memento in green, "in the" is Basic Grey Mono Alpha stickers in black, and Car is Thickers Foam words in white. But the word Car didn't come on the sheet, I wouldn't use the words Cherish or Darling on a layout most likely, so I cut them up to make my word.

To the left of the layout is where I placed my journaling spot with a few wood veneer pieces. Under the journaling I decided to use the roller phrase stamp that comes with the collection.

In the ephemera pack was a nice colorful flower piece. I cut it in half and placed it on the layout in two different places. Then used the roller phrase stamp again next to the flowers.

Thanks for taking a look! Have a great day!

Coffee Love

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today I have a layout to share that I made for the Hip Kit Club Design Team tryouts.

This layout is all about the amazing organic coffee my boyfriend and I stumbled upon while stuck it a hail storm up in Flagstaff. I used the Shimelle True Stories collection because there are so many cute coffee elements, and of course I tried to use them all (but only used three).

I started by matting a plain piece of white cardstock onto the Cinnamon Roll paper. Then took two Heidi Swapp Mists in Butter and Coral and sprayed close up where my photo and layers were going to go. In my layers I used a 6x6 card, a photo overlay that I cut in half, a scalloped border punch, and a manufacturers strip with little coffee cups on it. Then went in with a few embellishments from the collection.

I also sprayed the two mists in the bottom right corner to bring in the extra colors from the main cluster. The coffee cup here was fussy cut from the Mocha paper and placed right against the edge of my paper. Then I used the left over piece of the manufacturers strip and a wood brad.

For the title I used the tile alphas that came in the Phrase and Alphabet pack. The giant LOVE letters were cut from the Salted Caramel paper, and slightly layered on top of each other. Then underneath, I took a sticker from the same sheet and cut little fishtails on the ends and used a punch to cut a few more chevrons to place next to it.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look! Have a great day!

Fall Layout

Hello everyone! Today I have a layout to share quickly. I haven't taken any close ups, but you can see everything pretty well.

I used the Carta Bella Fall Blessings collection. For the leaves at the top and bottom of the layout, I used a stamp set, Versa Mark ink and multiple colors of embossing powders. Then cut them all out by hand. I did the same with the leaves that are falling on the page.

I cut the title banner out of the borders sheet, and cut the large journaling spot out of the 4x6 cards.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Snow Layout

Okay, after this layout, I think I will finally be caught up! This is a layout of us getting snowed on, in May, in Arizona! It was totally unexpected!

I used the Shimelle True Stories collection. I loved all the clouds, so I pulled out the ephemera pieces, and used the cloud paper for my background. Then cut two large hunks of paper, one with sparkly rain drops!

I matted the photo with a piece of my My Mind's Eye glimmer cardstock, which I LOVE! Right under the photo is one of the photo overlays that has a sunburst on it. To the right of the photo I placed an umbrella which totally fit the situation, my camera was actually sitting underneath out umbrella so it didn't get wet.

The Thickers I used for the title are from the Amy Tan collection Rise and Shine and are called Alyx. They are chipboard letters with foil stripes.

I hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Fun Adventures Layout

Hi everyone! I have a new layout that is actually new! I just made it Thursday night using the new Simple Stories So Fancy collection.

I used the tealish paper from the Basics Kit for my background. The pretty color helped make the photos pop. Then I cut a 2 1/2 inch strip of the Too Cute paper, a half inch of the Marquee paper, and used my favorite scallop border punch on two strips of the Besties paper.

For my title I used the cork words from the Journey collection by Crate Paper and the cardstock stickers by Simple Stories. Then placed these really cute tiny flowers from the other cardstock sticker sheet. I bent the petals so they would have a little dimension on the layout.

The journaling was done on another sheet from the Basics pack, this time in a pink color. I used my type writer (which I am obsessed with using lately, my handwriting is really bad), then cut it into strips.

I placed this cute saying sticker under the scalloped border with a flair badge and some more of those cute flowers.

Bike Layout

This layout is fairly old. I just forgot to blog about it. I probably made it about two months ago! I used the Basic Grey Aurora collection.

I started by matting my layout on a piece of patterned paper from the collection. Then cut some various sized rectangles to layer under my photo.

I did my journaling on one of the label stickers then placed a couple items around it including a large flair badge. I love that in this collection, the flairs are all different sizes.

For the title, I used cardstock stickers and then outlined them. I also did a little stitching underneath the title.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Photoshoot Layout

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I've posted any new layouts. I've been in kind of a scrapbooking rut, until my friends and I went up North to my cabin in Williams, Arizona for a girls weekend. We decided to do a photoshoot in the woods. Here's the layout I came up with using an old Scraptastic Kit Club kit and some Gossamer Blue items.

I went with the light grey woodgrain paper for my background. Then cut two strips one of patterned paper and the other is gold foiled vellum.

Then placed my photo and some embellishments including wood veneer, a flair badge, and two tabs (one stamped and ones a sticker).

I placed the smaller photo in the top right corner with a rub on underneath and another piece of vellum. Then added a few embellishments around the photo.

The title is done using a stamped label that says Fabulous, some DIY Thickers that I misted with two different Heidi Swapp mists, and some Studio Calico wood veneer letters. Then fished it off with some splatters and enamel stars.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
