A New Layout Share

My New Years resolution this year was to craft more... and I have been. I just keep forgetting to blog about them lately! I don't know why either.
Well today I'm sharing a layout I made probably three weeks ago, maybe more. I used the Finders Keepers collection from Amy Tangerine.

This orange striped paper was perfect to use for a background. Once I picked the background I decided to cut some papers for layering. Then outlined them and glued them down.

Next I placed the title, which I usually don't do until the end of the layout. I used three different alphas. "Nap Time" is Thickers Memento in green, "in the" is Basic Grey Mono Alpha stickers in black, and Car is Thickers Foam words in white. But the word Car didn't come on the sheet, I wouldn't use the words Cherish or Darling on a layout most likely, so I cut them up to make my word.

To the left of the layout is where I placed my journaling spot with a few wood veneer pieces. Under the journaling I decided to use the roller phrase stamp that comes with the collection.

In the ephemera pack was a nice colorful flower piece. I cut it in half and placed it on the layout in two different places. Then used the roller phrase stamp again next to the flowers.

Thanks for taking a look! Have a great day!

It's Been A While...

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I've posted an actual layout share on here. This layout is about the night time snow that we had in May at my cabin. It was about 2 in the morning and someone yelled "IT'S SNOWING!" so we all got up and ran outside to play in the snow! The collection I used was Amy Tangerine Finders Keepers.

I love the colors and fun details in this collection. Even though you couldn't really tell it was snowing in the pictures, I thought the blue with white and darker blue dots would be perfect to highlight a snow layout.

I did some layers with fewer embellishments and a larger title so the colorful papers would really stand out.

I pop dotted the pink arrow and the tip of the XO banner so they would pop off the page.

Thanks for taking a look! Have a wonderful Thursday!

Water Color Background

Hi everyone! Happy Monday, I have a layout to share today, which is weird since it's Monday. I feel like I'm finally getting back into my groove of scrapbooking again. So today the layout I'm sharing is using the Finders Keepers collection from Amy Tangerine.

I love all these wonderful colors in the collection and this floral paper I chose to mat my background on just really made the layout pop. So to start the layout I used the grid paper and started at 12x12. I took Distress Ink in Black Soot and Faded Jeans to do a little water coloring on the background.

Then cut one inch off two sides of the grid paper and matted it onto the beautiful floral paper. The reason I did the water coloring then matted the paper was to help with the warping of the paper after being wet. The triangles behind the layers were cut out of the Pursuit paper and then slid behind the photo with the stickers and ephemera pieces layered on top.

Up top I layered a few pieces including one of the gold flair and a cute little enamel heart. Before I laid any pieces down though, I took the rub on sheet and cut up the clusters of diamonds and triangles into threes and placed them randomly.

My favorite part of the layout is the title "Here We Go on an Adventure". I used the Thicker words (which are so cool!) on top of a rub on border and two strips of thin washi tape from the collection. Then placed one of the transparent grey stickers under that came in the Grab Bag.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!
