Loving this Picture

Today I have two layouts to share. One using the September Scraptastic Girl kit and add-on and the other a layout from my stash.

This first layout is using the Scraptastic kit. I love this kit, the colors are beautiful!

I felt the top of my layout needed a little something so I layered a few pieces from Heidi Swapp and added a few splatters in Blush and Navy.

I layered a whole bunch of little die cuts on the right side of the photo and added a strip of metallic heart rub ons from the Shimelle collection.

A Day to Remember

My next layout I made is for my aunt for her anniversary. I was looking through my stash and decided to use a collection I haven't used in years! It's the Antique Paperie from colorbok.

I had so much fun creating this layout! There were SO many bits and pieces in this collection from journaling cards to epoxy word stickers to die cuts and tissue paper flowers! This layout took me about 45 minutes to create and I think that's only because I decided to ink the edges of everything with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a GREAT week!!

4th of July

I know I'm a little late with 4th of July layouts... but I still have pictures left over that I needed to get done! So here's a layout about the beautiful fireworks we watched. I also used a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.

I turned the sketch to the left one time and put the embellishment cluster to the left of the picture. I also decided to tilt everything a little to the right. I thought it looked nice with the photo strip of pictures I made.

I used the Pebbles Americana collection to create this layout.

I loved the sketch but it was a little simple so I added another embellishment cluster to the bottom right hand side. I have these little tooth pick flags I got at a flea market a couple years back that a lady hand made herself. I put the tag up on pop dots and slid the tooth pick flag right underneath.

At Hobby Lobby I had gotten a sticker pack of gemstone sayings and designs. I used the 4th of July one for my title. I decided to also move my title to the left of the photo.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great week!

Happy in Love

Today I have a layout to share using a sketch over at the
 Let's Get Sketchy blog.

I made this layout using the Scraptastic September The Girl kit and add on.

In the sketch there are sewn circles. I used my gold thread I got at Michael's to sew the double circles around the page.

The kit came with some October Afternoon Meringue Alphas but I didn't want the title to be all white so I grabbed the same exact alpha from my stash in red called Rhubarb.

I used my scalloped edge border punch to punch two borders, one for the top of the layout and one to accentuate the banner at the bottom of the layout. I then used a zigzag stitch to stitch the papers together. I love doing that!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a GREAT weekend!

"Take Five" Challenge

Today I have a layout to share using a challenge at Scraptastic. The challenge was to use five different size circles in five different patterns.

I chose to use the September The Girl kit for this layout. I used my Silhouette and a 2 inch and 2 1/2 inch circle punch. The other sizes are 5 inch, 4 inch and 3 inch.

Beautiful pink glitter washi tape from Glitz came in the kit. I put two strips of washi down on paper and used my heart punch to punch out five little hearts.

I decided to outline everything on this layout to make it all come together since everything was so scattered. The picture in this layout has no filter on it and I didn't edit it at all.

Thank you for looking! Have a great week!

A Great Day to get Two Layouts Done

Hi ladies! Today was the perfect day to work on some layouts! I got my Scraptastic September kit yesterday and started using it right away! I was up until almost three in the morning working on these two layouts! I would occasionally stop to go on Pinterest, Facebook and at one point I watched an episode of Bones on Netflix.

As soon as I saw that the Studio Calico sequin stars came in the kit I knew I wanted to do something fun with them! I wandered if my sewing machine would sew through them but I didn't want to have to glue them down and get my needle all sticky.

But I had to glue them down so I used my Zig 2 way glue and just put a tiny dot, waited for it to dry and then sewed right through. It worked perfectly. My needle didn't get sticky and you can't even tell that I glued them down!

Here's a close up of my favorite part of the layout. You can see the awesome Glitter washi tape from Glitz! I want to washi everything with it!

Here's my second layout I made.
At my friends birthday party another friend brought a bottle of coke with her. She didn't even realize it said "Share a coke with friends! We thought it was too cute and had to take a picture!

I used October Afternoon Daily Flash alphas. The white ones came in the kit, the red are from my stash. I outlined them so they would stand out better and they look really nice that way!

The kits came with some awesome little bits this month, so I layered some here and there and used a scalloped punch on the super cute heart paper!

Thank you for looking!! I hope you have a great weekend!

Birthday Layouts

Hello! I hope everyone had a GREAT long Labor Day weekend! Today I'm sharing two layouts I made from my friends birthday party over the weekend.

In May I went to the Phoenix, AZ CKC scrapbook convention. A booth had scrapbooking kits bagged up for really cheap. So I bought the Cakewalk and Midway collections from October Afternoon both for less than 20 dollars! I used both collections to create these layouts. I love all the different pieces you get in the collections.

The colors were perfect for the pictures are it helped that they were birthday and fair themed. I layered some of the pretty papers together and added a journaling card and a couple stickers.

The kit also comes with little flags that you make yourself. I put one together and added a little banner on top of it to glue it down.

This layout was done also using both collections.
The arrow paper in the Midway collection is probably my favorite paper. I ended up cutting out a whole bunch of the arrows ahead of time because I knew I was going to use them as layering paper and as individual arrows.

I printed the biggest picture at 3 1/2 inches and the smaller pictures are all 2 inches.

I sewed down each arrow and then outlined it so it would stand out a little more on the background paper.

I also outlined the title to match the arrows. Then I wanted to do some stamping on my layout so I decided to use the Daylight stamp set from Scraptastic. The stamps I chose to use were the cursive 'Shine On', the outline of a star and the bold star. Both layouts took me about an hour each to make.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a GREAT week!
