Two Page Layouts...

Today I have a two page layout and a regular layout to share.

Just a Normal Weekend
This is the first two page layout I have made on my own without a sketch! I think it turned out really nicely! I used a lot from my stash and the Scraptastic August Boys of Summer kits. The papers are from Crate Paper and the Thickers are my favorite font Hardcover.

I started off by picking my background papers. I wanted them to be plain card stock so I could use lots of different patterns for my layers. I ended up outlining my papers so everything looked connected.

My title is a two parter that starts on the first layout just under the banners, and ends on the second layout just above the banners. I added some splatters, arrow brads and enamel dots to finish it up.

Fun Camping

Here's my next layout using the Scraptastic Boys of Summer kits and my stash.
I loved the papers in the Boys of Summer kit so much I had to find the paper pack. I bought the Boys Rule paper pack from Michaels for 6 dollars the other day and was so excited! Some of the papers in the kit are from other brands so I didn't end up getting those ones.

I love the way the acetate orange alphas look next to the foam Thickers.

My favorite part of this layout is the banner across the top under the ripped checkered wood grain paper. The three larger banner pieces are exclusive cut aparts from the kit. The flair badge and little wooden alien are also exclusives from the kit.

Thank you so much for looking! Have a great rest of your week!

Sharing a Layout I'm Not Happy With

This layout was a HUGE challenge for me! I worked on it for about 5 days and still don't really love it!
After I stapled the title down I decided I was going to give up on it. Then I ended up coming back to it today and adding the top and bottom strips of arrow paper and called it quits.

The floppy disk frame is so cool, I had to use it! I also used one of the stamps from the Scraptastic Boys of Summer stamp set and then outlined it in white to make it stand out a little more.

I don't really know any other way to adhere down those acetate alphas except for using my tiny attacher to staple them down. So I stapled them down and it adds a little dimension and looks nice.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Not Afraid...

Today I'm sharing another layout for the Scraptastic birthday challenges! This layout is for the Top 100 challenge.
The title comes from the song Not Afraid by Eminem. The picture in the layout isn't exactly the greatest I know... but we really wanted a picture so my friend held the flashlight above our heads and I used my IPhone to snap a picture.

I used my Silhouette and a piece of vellum to cut out the triangle background. Then layered some papers and a few stickers on top. I love the way this layout turned out. I really do think the Boys of Summer kits are my favorite so far.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great week!

Sunday Funday

Today I have a layout to share that I am quite proud of! I used the August Scraptastic Boys of Summer kits.

Everything in this kit goes so well together! The arrow brads, enamel dots and the wood tags are the only thing not from the kits.

This layout was made for the Scraptastic birthday celebration using the Bingo challenge. I chose the last line on the bingo card which was Use wood veneer/grain, Enamel dots, Arrows, Scrap about your favorite thing, and Use multiple fonts in your title. I chose 3 different Thicker fonts to use including a corrugated one in black. It didn't stand out like the other fonts so I used my white Uni Ball pen to outline and color in the lines.

For the wood grain part I used a wood veneer car that came in the kit and also I bought some wooden tags at Hobby Lobby to put behind the car. I used one of the border stamps from Scraptastic to stamp along the top and bottom of the largest paper.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look! Have a great week!

Hummingbirds Layout

This weekend is the 4th birthday of Scraptastic and they're celebrating with a weekend of games and challenges! I have made two layouts so far and am working on my third.

This layout is about the hummingbirds at my cabin. There are tons of them and they love people! I used the Scraptastic Either Way kits from July for the color challenge over on their forum.

I used the gold Thickers alphas that came in the kit and stamped the word LOVE for my title.

Underneath the 'What a Wonderful World' sticker I used the gold glitter paper that came in the kit and my silhouette to cut out the zigzag circle. I used some My Minds Eye vellum from my stash and a border punch.

For my second layout I used the August Boys of Summer kits from Scraptastic. I love how this layout turned out! This was made for the Sketch challenge over on their forums.

I'm so happy this kit doesn't only have to be used for boys. I think it turned out great using pictures of my best friend and I and that little wooden robot is too cute!

Thank you for stopping by to take a look! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
