I Am Lucky Layout

Hey everyone! I have a layout to share using the Simple Stories I Am collection.

One day a while back, I was early for work so I sat in my car with the windows down listening to music. Then I looked over and saw that a little lady bug had landed on my side panel by my window. It just sat there with me until I had to go into work. It was pretty cool.

I brought in some awesome foiled vellum that I purchased at Michaels and used that for my bottom layer. The gold glitter frame is a Heidi Swapp frame from Michaels then the black and white striped frame is from the I Am collection.

I used a border punch on the vellum and stapled it in the top right corner. That left a nice place for my title. Then finished the layout off with some splatters and little gold chipboard dots.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Getting Crafty

I have had this layout done for a while now, and keep meaning to post it but my dad was in the hospital for two weeks and then I was super sick, so I never got around to it until now.

I started off using the Shimelle collection and ended up bringing in some ephemera from the Maggie Holmes collection. The title is using Gold Foil Doll Thickers.

I placed a doily down and then started building my layers up. Some of the papers were torn using a ruler and others were cut with my paper trimmer.

The cluster up in the corner has the same papers from the main area with the picture, some torn and some cut. I finished off the cluster with some cute bows I had bought at Target.

After I glued my layers down I tucked in some paper flowers, a camera and a vellum banner I cut.

While out shopping one day with my boyfriend at Bookmans, I came across a little crafty section. There was a bucket of alphabets so I looked through it. I found these AWESOME gold foil tiny alphas in a cursive font for $1.00!! I wish there were more, I would have bought them all! But anyways, I used those tiny alphas to spell out My Crafty Friends on the pink and white striped banner under the polka dot bow.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!
