Two Puppy Layouts

Happy Wednesday! I have two layouts to share today, both of my puppy Leela. I used two different collections. For the top layout I used Echo Park Bark, and for the bottom layout I used Bella Blvd. Rover.

The first layout:
To start this layout I picked out my background paper then went over to my Silhouette and went through the fonts. I chose two and typed out my title using both fonts. I left enough room on the center of the layout to place the photo.

Once the Silhouette finished cutting I picked two papers to back the title with. That plaid paper is my absolute favorite! The little paw print is a stamp from the Bark stamp set and I used brown Memento ink.

For some reason, my Silhouette decided it was going to cut the W and R in water weird. I don't exactly know what happened there. But it didn't look too bad so I decided to keep it.

For the center of the layout I took my photo and placed it a little crooked and added this adorable little dog sticker. Then pop dotted the little banner and placed it right on top. Then added some Heidi Swapp mist in Tea.

The second layout:
This layout is from the same day as the layout above. The journaling talks about how it was Leela's first irrigation and how much she loved it!

I started this layout by cutting an inch off the sides of the cloud paper and adhering it to a piece of white cardstock. Then I cut a strip of the green chevron paper for my photos to go on top of. The layout needed more color so I took my scallop border punch and used it on the colorful striped paper and tucked them under both sides of the background paper.

I used my type writer for the journaling and cut each line out making some strips longer than others. Then used enamel dots to make two little paw prints. Under the journaling I placed a little heart sticker with a bone clip attached to the top.

The title was done using the ever so amazing Headliners from Queen and Co. They just add the nicest touch to a layout!

Thanks for stopping by to take a look! Have a great day!

Water Color Background

Hi everyone! Happy Monday, I have a layout to share today, which is weird since it's Monday. I feel like I'm finally getting back into my groove of scrapbooking again. So today the layout I'm sharing is using the Finders Keepers collection from Amy Tangerine.

I love all these wonderful colors in the collection and this floral paper I chose to mat my background on just really made the layout pop. So to start the layout I used the grid paper and started at 12x12. I took Distress Ink in Black Soot and Faded Jeans to do a little water coloring on the background.

Then cut one inch off two sides of the grid paper and matted it onto the beautiful floral paper. The reason I did the water coloring then matted the paper was to help with the warping of the paper after being wet. The triangles behind the layers were cut out of the Pursuit paper and then slid behind the photo with the stickers and ephemera pieces layered on top.

Up top I layered a few pieces including one of the gold flair and a cute little enamel heart. Before I laid any pieces down though, I took the rub on sheet and cut up the clusters of diamonds and triangles into threes and placed them randomly.

My favorite part of the layout is the title "Here We Go on an Adventure". I used the Thicker words (which are so cool!) on top of a rub on border and two strips of thin washi tape from the collection. Then placed one of the transparent grey stickers under that came in the Grab Bag.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!
