Happy Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday! The week is halfway over, yay! I thought I would share a layout today using the July Either Way kits from Scraptastic.

My friends and I recently went to my cabin and I knew the Either Way kits colors were perfect for cabin photos. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the border out of the beautiful glitter paper that came in the kit. The layout looked a little too clean, so I used some Gold Color Shine from Heidi Swapp, to sprinkle around the page.

My journaling was done with a typewriter on some white textured cardstock, which looked much nicer than my handwriting!

Thank you for looking and I hope you have a great rest of your week!

Red, White and Blue

Today I am sharing two layouts I made using the Pebbles Americana collection.

I absolutely love red white and blue layouts with a touch of wood grain!

Here is a close up of my favorite part of the layout. The little polaroid with chevron vellum, a few stars and some rub ons.

This layout uses the same collection from Pebbles but a lot less embellishing.
I thought for this one that the papers and sewing were going to be the main points so I used less embellishments. I chose to go with three different colors of thread (red, white, blue)  for my sewing around all the banners, then just red sewing around the bottom and top strips.

I love the sewing on this layout, I feel it really brings everything together and the white background really makes the layout pop.

Thank you so much for looking! Have a great week!

My very first blog post!

My Very First Blog Post

Hello ladies! This is my very first blog post. I'm going to start it off by posting some of my favorite layouts I have made.
This is a layout I made using the As You Wish collection from Fancy Pants. The night of the blood moon eclipse I sat outside on my patio for about 3 hours just watching the moon and taking pictures! The wood veneer stars from Studio Calico were a perfect match for the pictures. This layout was also featured on Scrapbook.com's blog.

My next favorite layout is using the Crate Paper Flea Market collection. This is one of the first layouts where I did heavy embellishing and I love how it turned out! I chose to do the photo in black and white for this layout because I thought it would stand out more with all of the colors I chose to use.

In this layout I scrapbooked some great pictures of my friends and I swimming on a very hot day. I used the 2014 July Scraptastic Summer Nights kit and add on. I find using a kit helps me use up product faster and layouts come together so nicely with all of the different products.

This layout is probably my favorite layouts I have made so far! I love the colors and that wood veneer cityscape is amazing! It's using the Scraptastic June Best Day of my Life kit and add on.

This layout is called Soft Kitty and I used the Yes Please collection by Amy Tangerine. The title comes from the show The Big Bang Theory. I thought it fit perfectly with all of the pictures I had taken of my cat.

And last but not least a layout I made of my boyfriend and I using the Fancy Pants Be Loved collection and a sketch from a challenge at Scrapbook.com.

I'm just learning how to take good pictures of my layouts by watching tons of YouTube videos and reading around on forums. Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed looking, there will be many more to come! Have a good day!
